Janice Lorraine Little, 75, of Salisbury, N.C., passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 24, 2024. She was taken from us all way to early by cancer.
Janice was born on July 23, 1949, in Statesville, N.C., daughter of the late Charlie Little Sr. and the late Ruth Lloyd Little.
Those left to cherish Janice’s memory include her son, Michael Fleishman and his wife Michelle and her daughter, Olivia Dunn and her husband Joey; her grandchildren: Garrett Fleishman, Grace Fleishman, Zachary Fleishman, Abigail Dunn, Caroline Dunn and Freyja Fleishman; as well as her brother, Charlie Little Jr. and his wife Karen; and three sisters, Beverly Murdock, Gayle Cline and her husband Tim, and Elaine Wustrow.
Janice was born to be a mom and grandmother, and it was her ultimate passion in life until the day she died and the biggest thing she cared about.
Janice loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and while she had her “moments,” she loved life, her plants and flower garden, music and of course dancing. She was a free spirit who was spontaneous in her youth and well-traveled throughout her life, loving New York City and Los Angeles the most. She was extremely expressive, and never hesitated to share her opinion or tell you what she thought.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Park, 2304 Shelton Avenue, Statesville, at 3 p.m. (Please be there by 2:30 p.m. if you wish to attend so that folks aren’t walking up after it starts). The family will visit with friends who feel the need to visit, following the service at Boxcar Grille, 3103 Taylorsville Highway, Statesville.
Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
