Jeffery Arvil “Jeff” Osborne, 46, of Harmony, N.C., died Thursday, October 17, 2024, in a logging accident. He was born in Iredell County on July 31, 1978, to John Arvil Osborne and Eula Mae Coe Osborne.

Jeff loved his work and was one of the best at logging and doing tree work. He was always an outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and going to the mountains. He had taken an old log cabin apart and was putting it back together on his property. He loved his family and was proud of the accomplishments of his sons. He always took care of his family.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his spouse, Stacy Smith; three sons, Jake Osborne, Wade Osborne, and Seth Osborne; a stepson, Christopher Smith; a brother, Richard Osborne (Lynn); a special cousin, Michael Osborne (Hannah) and their children, Reece and Haley Osborne; along with many friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Gryder, Pastor Taylor Miller and Pastor Roger Holland officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Town Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Nicholson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Jake Osborne, Wade Osborne, Seth Osborne, Christopher Smith, Jimmy Holbrook, Allen Church, Levi Nance, and Reece Osborne. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Osborne and Don Church.
