Jimmy Dean “JD” Wright of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the age of 78 after a two-month fight with pneumonia. He passed one year and three days after his wife of 59 years, Joyce Wright.

He leaves behind his 15-year-old pup, Lilly; his two sons and their wives; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

JD worked and eventually retired from Wicoff Inks. During the 80s and 90s, he and Joyce ran a video store in downtown Mooresville called Showcase Video. JD was also known for his handyman skills. He was able to do most any repair or construction he set his mind to. After his retirement, he and Joyce enjoyed traveling and camping with their friends until their health prevented it. He will be missed by his family and friends.
