John Gilbert Pardue, 91, of Statesville, N.C., passed away March 8, 2024, at the Salisbury Veterans State Home. He was born August 10, 1932, to the late Sherman Pardue and Ina Pardue.

He was a member of Front Street Baptist Church in Statesville and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Lynn Pardue.

Survivors include one son, John Michael Pardue of Statesville; one daughter, Tracy Darlene Pardue of the home; one brother, Bill Pardue of Statesville; one sister, Shirley Pardue of Statesville; two grandchildren, Heather Fiemster and Angel Pardue; and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday March 14, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Dr. Robert Jackson with full military rites. There will be no formal visitation.
