Mr. Johnnie Parker, 74, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 16, 1949, and was the son of the late John L. Parker and Nevada Norman Parker. Along with his beloved parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by two brothers, James Allen Parker and John Wesley Parker; and one sister, Ella Lousie Parker.

Those left to cherish the memories of his life include his special friend, Margie Gilliam; two daughters; two brothers, Jimmie (Allene) Parker of Cincinnati, Ohio and Thomas (Carolyn) Parker; four sisters, Rachel Stockton of Charlotte, twin sister, Jeannie Mayberry of Mooresville, Dianne Vaughn of Nevada, and Ruthe (Bill) Clifton; god children, Devonne Foreman , Danete Gilliam and Travis Gilliam, all of Charlotte, and Julius (Angela) Johnson of Huntersville; god mother, Louvenia Smith of Charlotte; and a host of special uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Johnnie will truly be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Gary Graham will give the eulogy, and Elder Rayvonne Parker will officiate.
