Joyce Elaine Moose Reid, 70, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born on March 14, 1953, in Hickory, N.C., to the late Bill and Mary Moore Moose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Franklin Daniel Reid, and brother, Steve Moose.

Joyce enjoyed Jason Mamoa movies, watching the history channels, sewing, and gardening. She was a hard worker and enjoyed listening to Classic Rock Music, and she adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and her cats.

Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her daughter, Angela Allison (Laura); siblings, Donna Newton (Gene), Robert “Bobby” Moose (Lisa), Billy Wayne Moose (Debbie), and Stanley “Tommy” Moose; grandchildren, Sylvia Cable (Dylan) and Daniel Alexander; niece, Janice Neal, and her fur babies, Bae Bae, Little Baby, Percy, Twins, Ms. Kitty, Fafa, and many more.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, with Chaplain Russell Files officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
