Judith “Judy” Scott Sawyer, 82, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. She was born on November 22, 1941, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Dudley Wallace Scott and Woody Lila Townsley Scott.

Judy was a graduate of Mooresville Senior High School and an avid reader. She managed Sawyer Insurance for 28 years. Judy loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Barbara Harris.

Those left to cherish Judy’s memory are her loving husband of 58 years, Tommy “Tom” Sawyer; children, Jana D. Sawyer, T. Brett Sawyer and wife Vickie; sister, Michelle Beam and husband Ray; and grandchildren, Sydney and Braedy Sawyer.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Centenary Methodist Church Cemetery, Mooresville with Rev. Brad Treece officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Missions, 266 N. Broad Street, Mooresville, NC 28115.
