Kathryn Ann Ayers Jenkins joined her husband, William Harold Jenkins, in Heaven with our Lord and Savior on July 2, 2024. She was born to Thomas Jones and Mildred Gantt Ayers on May 28, 1940.
Both parents preceded her in death, along with her siblings Larry Ayers, Frankie Ayers, and Barbara Gryder.
Kathryn was blessed enough to be survived by many loving family members, including Becky Galliher (Larry), Lori Howard (Dan), Sandra Oliver (Richard), Cindy White, Carolyn Jenkins (Shannon), Alan Ayers and Linda Ayers; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
In her 84 years of life, Kathryn accomplished many things. Her ability to take care of her loving husband and raise five beautiful daughters to become mothers and homemakers, just like herself, was not Kathryn’s only success in life. She was also committed to the children and staff at Harmony School and North Iredell Middle School.
She was a member of Olin Church and loved her church family very much.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Olin Church Cemetery. Pastor Steve Wagner will officiate.
Kathryn’s family would like to say a special thank you to the Iredell County EMS, and all the staff at Iredell Hospice for making her as comfortable as possible during her last few days with them.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Iredell County Hospice or Olin Church.
Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
So sorry for your loss!
May the Lord give you and the family peace and comfort during this time. Mike and Teresa Barnette
