Kenneth Locke Holder, 79, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024.

He was born September 28, 1945 to John Wesley Holder and Nancy Thompson Holder in Salisbury, N.C. He was a resident of the Lake Norman area and Mooresville, N.C., for the past 44 years.

Kenneth graduated from West Rowan High in Mt. Ulla, N.C., and was a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. He served in the U.S. Army and spent a year in Vietnam with the First Logistical Command.

Mr. Holder retired after 30 years as a successful manufacturer sales representative in the automotive parts industry, having worked for Ford Motor Company and Genuine Parts Company. After retirement, he continued to work part-time with Randy Marion Ford and Parks Chevrolet.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers, John Jr., Harry, and Terry.

He is survived by a son, Jonathan W. Holder (Heather) of Rockwell, N.C.; two grandchildren, Travis and Evelyn; and a sister, Nancy Sue Myers of Salisbury. Kenneth is also survived by his loving partner and best friend, Kathy Berry of Morganton, N.C.

Kenneth enjoyed golf, boating on Lake Norman, Panthers football games, Duke basketball, and traveling with his friend, Kathy.

A Celebration of Life for Kenneth will be held at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, N.C., on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 6 until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
