Kimberly Ann Jenkins, 48, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, after a long illness.

She was born on April 16, 1976, in Kentucky to Lois Johnson Calia. Originally from New Jersey, she lived in Maryville, Tenn., before making her home in Mooresville, N.C. Kimberly was a former pharmacy technician and childcare provider. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, going to concerts, and cruising to the islands.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William and Edith Johnson.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Tavares Jenkins; sons, Brandon Torres of Statesville, N.C., Edwin Torres of Knoxville, Tenn., and Mateo Torres of Mooresville; beloved granddaughter, Nova Torres of Statesville; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Abderrazzak Dabnichi; nephews, Christopher Lim and Cody Hill, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; and her uncle, Glenn Johnson of Florida.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December, 5 from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Russell Files officiating.
