Lawrence “Larry” Dalton Fink Jr. passed away peacefully on October 5, 2024, one day shy of his 82nd birthday. Born on October 6, 1942, in Williamsport, Pa., Larry lived a life full of love, family, and dedication to his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sadonna Fink, with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Larry was a devoted father to five children, Dean Fink, 63, of Mount Holly, N.J., Michael Fink, 59, of Boiling Springs, Pa., Diane Gresty, 58, of Statesville, N.C., Cheryl Matthews, 56, of Trout Run, Pa.; and Kim Bongiorni, 53, of Mooresville, N.C. He was also a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Larry grew up in Williamsport, Pa., with his father, Lawrence Dalton Fink Sr.; his mother, Helen Ruth Fink; and six sisters. His strong family values shaped his life and remained central to who he was. A hardworking man, Larry dedicated 35 years of service as a lineman for Pennsylvania Power Lamp Light Co. (PP&L), retiring in 2005. After spending most of his life in the Williamsport area, he and Sadonna moved to Mooresville, N.C., where they enjoyed their retirement. Larry had a passion for spending time with his family, and he was proud to coach youth baseball for 16 years. He also loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and golf, which were two of his favorite hobbies.

In keeping with his wishes, Larry was cremated, and a private gathering will be held for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, a cause close to their hearts, at http://act.alz.org/goto/Larry_Fink

Larry will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors, and, most importantly, his deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
