Lauren Hickman Colwell, 40, of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. She was born on September 1, 1983, in Minneapolis, MN to Felton “Tad” and Lisa Colwell.

Lauren was a graduate of Stone Hill University in Boston, Mass., area obtaining her bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in marketing. She enjoyed sewing, speaking with and caring for those whom she loved in addition to focusing on her continued professional development as a Sales Director for FXAIR.

One of Lauren’s greatest joys was to help her step-son navigate life and achieve college acceptance at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he is currently enrolled and studying Computer Science.

In addition to her parents, those left to cherish Lauren’s memory include her loving husband, Ian Hickman; step-son, Ethan Hickman; sister, Catherine Colwell and husband Worku Gachou; sister, Jessica Colwell; nieces, Gema Gachou and Winnie Gachou; and nephews, Lochlyn Jensen, and Magnus Jensen.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
