Lawrence Carl Vogt, 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center.

He was born on September 9, 1946, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late Walter and Marie Gannon Vogt. Mr. Vogt was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed gardening, artwork, painting, cooking, and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his husband, John Peterson; sister, Karen Vogt; brothers, Walter Vogt and wife Carol, Gary Vogt and wife Lillianna; nieces, Gabrielle and Samantha; nephews, Galen and Alexander; and sister-in-law, Gail Peterson and James Nunns.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.
