Linda Lou Poole Abrams, 86, of Statesville, N.C., died Saturday, August 24, 2024, after a period of declining health.

She was born in Vigo County, Ind., on October 6, 1937, to the late Glenn Poole and Lucille Cox Poole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Abrams; a son, Charles Scott Abrams; and three sisters, Wilma, Glenna, and Ruth.

Linda worked for many years at the Iredell County Department of Social Services, and attended Oakdale Baptist Church. Linda was a fun-loving person and a fierce competitor. She enjoyed bowling, playing games, especially card games, and cornhole. She also enjoyed square-dancing, boating, skiing, and camping. She loved gatherings with family and friends and enjoying a meal together.

Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Terri Ingram (Harland); a son, Brett Abrams; seven grandchildren, JoCasta Britt (Wayne), Audrey Signorelli (Jon), and Dr. Amber Fresco (Chris); seven great-grandchildren, Charlotte Britt, Bella Britt, Wren Signorelli, Cora Signorelli, Iris Fresco, Edgar Fresco, and Opal Fresco; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 30, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tony Daniels officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
