Linda Summers Adams, 75, of Statesville, N.C., died Monday, September 9, 2024, at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Iredell County on November 23, 1948, to the late Robert Summers and Pansy Miller Summers.

Linda was a hairdresser for over 40 years. After retiring, she continued working alongside her husband, Clyde Adams, in the tree service business. Linda loved life and was always a happy person. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone, and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed traveling and loved flowers. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Clyde S. Adams Sr.; daughter, Amy Adams Barnes; and two sons, Joseph Alan Adams and Clyde Stephen Adams Jr.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Bowman officiating. In accordance with the wishes of the family, the burial ceremony will be private.

The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude for the care and dedication of Hospice in their time of need. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
