Linda Susan “Susie” Miller, 69, passed away at her home in Salisbury, N.C., on March 8, 2024, following a period of declining health.
She is survived by her best friend and life partner, Teresa Pless; her brother, David Miller (Debbie); sister, Barbara Eitutis; and aunt, Elsie Ann (Kip) Sexton; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished friends, and loving dog, Laney.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Carl and Doris Miller, and niece, Lindsey Miller.
Susie loved camping, spending time with friends and family, reading, cooking and simply enjoying life. She was musically inclined toward the piano and guitar in her earlier years. Susie was a Christian, kind-hearted, generous person who loved everyone and always had a smile, offering uplifting words of encouragement. To those who knew her, she described herself as a “Doris Day” who loved listening to the voice of Anne Murray. A very imaginative person, she was interested in learning about everything, figuring out how things worked in order to fix what was broken. Throughout her life she worked in various areas of horticulture and landscaping; she was someone you could depend on for that advice.
Susie was a highly successful and respected salesperson in radio and television advertising, and most recently printing and marketing, retiring from Sir Speedy in Statesville, N.C. It was an amazing testament to Susie that considering all she’d been through she still possessed such positivity. She had found a place of contentment, unafraid of death, welcoming the face of Jesus. She made the choice to live and love every single day that she was graciously given, only regretting missed opportunities of witnessing to others.
The family would like to thank all who supported and loved her, especially during her times of illness.

I loved working with Susie in her varied career, both at WAME and Sir Speedy. She always had a ready smile and kind word. She was a bright light. Rest in peace, Susie. You will be remembered.
