Lori Beth Leeds Canella, 65, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville.

She was born on August 29, 1959, in New York to the late Seymour and Edyth Barsky Leeds. Growing up in Long Island and Brooklyn, Lori graduated from Brooklyn Tech with an associate’s degree in architecture. She was a dog and animal lover who was very loving, caring, and compassionate, and she had a heart of gold. Lori was honest, respected by everyone, a great listener, outgoing, and she never met a stranger.

She is survived by her brother, Phillip Leeds, and his wife Catherine; ex-husband, Joseph Canella; and lifelong friend, Madeline Corso.

No services will be held at this time.
