Louis Zimmer Coombe, 87, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He was born on October 17, 1936, in Dexter, N.Y., to the late Herbert Joseph Coombe and Korleen Zimmer Coombe.

Mr. Coombe was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Joan Wood Coombe; children, Jonathan Louis Coombe (Sharon), Jennifer Edwards, and Jeffrey Coombe; sister, Sonja Thompson (Leo); and grandchildren, Ryder and Mason Edwards, Jaxon and Jakob Coombe.

A funeral mass will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
