Marie Immaculate Russo, 86, of Mooresville, N.C., and formerly of Toms River, N.J., peacefully went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Born February 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Christina Sestito.

Marie was a Teacher’s Aide for special needs children in the Passaic, N.J., school system before her retirement.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Denise Rabi and husband Nicholas of Mooresville; sons, Michael Russo and wife Carmen of Clifton N.J., and Joseph Russo and wife Barbara of Toms River, N.J.; brother, Nicholas Sestito and wife Delores of Brielle, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a later date. Marie will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
