Prayers for the family. She was a lovely lady.❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
One of the kindest, sweetest, caring person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. My sympathy goes out to the family.
So sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to all her family and friends.
Martha Ellen was my first cousin, and being ten years my senior, she was a sitter for my brother and me when we were youngsters. Being a nurse, she took care of her parents and two aunts (who lived in the home). The Old Mountain Road was “smoking” from her many trips from her house to her parents house — checking on the needs of those under her care. I always knew her as a hard working lady, just like her mother, tending to cows, working in the garden & canning. Her church work was a devotion, especially teaching the small children’s Sunday School Class — the room was named in her honor in her later years. Visiting her on her 94th birthday, I was in awe at how sharp her memory was — she was pretty much up to date on things going on around her.
Her four children were raised by Martha Ellen’s loving care — knowing them, is to know the kind of Mother she was. She will be missed, but remembered as a faithful person she was to her family and her church.
Rest in peace Martha Ellen,
