McKenna Nicole Kee, 29, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her home.

She was born on February 9, 1995, in Mecklenburg County, N.C., to Rhonda Cook Kee and Craig Scott Kee. McKenna was employed with Massage Heights. She was lovingly referred to by her friends and family as “Kenna Poo,” “Aunt Kenna,” or “the Princess.”

McKenna was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harold and Diane Cook; paternal grandfather, Fred W. Kee Jr.; and aunt, Marie Cook Decker.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda and Scott, she is survived by her stepmother, Stephanie; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Kee; step sister, Samantha Edlund; and step brother, Eric Edlund.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
