Michael William Neverett, 65, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on November 11, 1958, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late Harold J. Neverett and Mary Ann Cummings.

Mike was a retired U.S. Navy veteran. After many years of service he earned a master’s degree in criminology. He was a highly regarded private investigator. He enjoyed playing the harmonica, woodworking and refinishing, traveling, camping, and being outdoors. He loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his children, Jill Allen and husband Dustin, Brooke Neverett and fiancé, Mitch; sisters, Kathy McDermott, and Sharon DeBellis and husband Frank; brother, Gary Neverett and wife Joan; grandchildren, Kage, Isabelle, and Moxie; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
