Mindy Nicole Plyler Lombard, 49, of Mooresville, N.C., peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Levine-Dickson Hospice House surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on September 29, 1975, in Mooresville, N.C., daughter of Frank Dean Plyler and Audrey Elizabeth Pennell. Mindy worked at Bob’s Grill for 19 wonderful years, where she built lasting and cherished relationships with colleagues and customers alike. Her warm and witty personality, dedication, and genuine care made her a friend to everyone who walked through the doors. She became a familiar and friendly face, creating connections that went far beyond her role at the grill. After Bob’s, Mindy devoted her time at home for the kids, ensuring they did the best they could through school and in everyday life.

Mindy was a woman of unwavering strength, boundless love, and endless compassion. Her spirit was as fierce as it was tender, and she faced life’s challenges with grace, resilience, and an unshakable determination. She was a cornerstone of her family and a beacon of support to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring daughter, supportive sister and a cherished friend. Her strength was evident in every aspect of her life. Her love knew no limits. She created a home where everyone felt welcomed and cared for, a sanctuary of warmth and understanding. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. Though she is no longer here, her strength and love will continue to inspire us all.

She was preceded in death by (Nanny) Wilma Plyler; (Papaw) Hook Plyler; (Mamaw) Dorothy Warren; (Papaw) Elbert Warren; (Cousin) Justin Plyler; (Cousin) Tammy Combs; (Aunt & Uncle) Nancy and Larry Lambert; (Uncle) Terry Farrington; and (In-Laws) Linda and Larry Drum.

She is survived by her (Husband) Mark Lombard; (Daughter) Jacelynn Lombard; (Sonphew) Tyler Plyler; (Mother) Audrey Pennell; (Tootie) Darrell Pennell; (Father) Frank Dean Plyler and Debbie Cordeiro; (Sister & brother-in-law) Chasity and Chris Jennings; (Niece) Alexis Paige Ensminger; (Father-in-Law) Gary Lombard; (Brother-in-Law) Brad Drum; and (Brother-in-Law) Ben Lombard. She was also survived by a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and other dear loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be on Saturday, October 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville, N.C.
