Nettie Henderson McCoy, 84, of Statesville, N.C., died Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Iredell County on December 14, 1939, to the late Houston Henderson and Mae Bennett Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William McCoy; and four brothers, Marlin, Mull, Preston and Wylie Henderson.

Nettie was a member and elder at Bethesda Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading, socializing and travel. She and her husband were formerly owners/operators of Real McCoy Campground, and for many years she taught 2-year-olds at Covenant Child Care.

Survivors include two sons, John Steven McCoy (Terri) and William Todd McCoy; a granddaughter, Laura Martin (Brian); and five grandchildren: Ty Martin, Nolan Martin, Camden Martin, Hudson Martin and Tucker Martin.
