Mr. O’Bryan Tyquawn Glaspy was born in Iredell County on April 29, 1987, and was the son of Bryant Keith Scott and Kinna Glaspy. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Statesville, N.C.

O’Bryan was a graduate of West Iredell High School. He worked multiple jobs, and he loved football, basketball, and family, especially his children. His favorite food was baked spaghetti and lasagna. O’Bryan had a quiet spirit, but could be silly at times, and he would smile no matter what. He loved to dance and one of his best friends was his “cell phone.”

O’Bryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clayton Lee Scott and Annie Louise Scott; his maternal grandparents, Robert Williamson and Mae Frances Glaspy; and a sibling, Dominique Hurtt.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his parents; his children, Taniya Parks, Danielle Glaspy, Breona Smith, LaBron Glaspy, and Amina Glaspy, all of Statesville; two bonus moms, Emily Hogue and Warrina Moss-Sibby; a godmother, Teresa Rankin; four brothers, Tony (Latoya) Sherrill of Salisbury, N.C., Patrick (Kylisha) Moss of Winston-Salem, N.C., Damingo Glaspy of Statesville, and Kiontae Glaspy of Mooresville, N.C.; two sisters, Shakeya (Carrie) Scott and Sasha Hurtt, both of Statesville, N.C.; special aunts, Elaine Scott Peterson, Doraleen Rucker, Tameka Jackson, and Lilly Ramseur; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Minister Elaine Scott Patterson will be officiating the service, and Missionary Doraleen Rucker will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.
