Patricia Ann Speaks, 67 of Statesville, N.C., died Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Iredell County on September 27, 1956, to the late Phil Speaks and Margie Dills Starnes. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Speaks, and a sister, Brenda Mowrey.

Patricia earned her degree in Horticulture at Catawba Valley Community College. She enjoyed fishing, playing the lottery, and going to estate sales, and she loved her cat, Trey, who she has had for over 15 years.

Those left to cherish her memory include a sister Linda Beattie; and four brothers, James Speaks (Linda), Amos Lee Starnes, Thomas Starnes, and Hank Starnes (Rebecca). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held later.
