Patricia Klever Rugg, 76, of Taylorsville, N.C., passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Mountain Valley Hospice Yadkinville following an extended illness. Patty was born May 2, 1948, in Cattaraugus County, N.Y., to the late Rovern “Vern” Herman Klever and Flora Ruth Farner Klever.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Clifford Rugg; one son, Larry Rugg; one sister, Pauline LaClair; and four brothers, Vernon, Albert, Fred and Robert Klever.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Sue Easterly and husband Freeman of Cherry Creek, N.Y., and Barbara Hawkins and husband Craig of Taylorsville; two sisters, Donna Sank and husband Lee, and Pearl Klever, all of New .York; seven grandchildren, Richard (Summer), Chelsie and husband Darryl, Paitan, Freeman, Cody, and Brittany and husband Eric and Travis; six great-grandchildren, Emily, Dalton, Aubrey, Steven, William and Charlie; two step-grandchildren, Charlene and Craig; two step-great grandchildren, Justice and Victoria; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. Josh Coffey will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
