Paul Byron Bevard died on May 17, 2024, while surrounded by his family.

He was born in Hanover, Pa., on January 12, 1934, to George Thomas Bevard and Sarah Etta Pierce; he and is survived by his sister Carol Bevard Rand.

Paul was a loving husband to “BeBe,” and cherished by his three children, Michelle (Shelly), Mark, and Dawn, their spouses Greg, Susan, and Sam; his eight grandchildren and their spouses; and three great grandchildren.

Paul, affectionately referred to as “Bug,” was a faithful servant of the Lord. He spent his life a humble man focused on the needs of others, giving his time and energy to his family and his community — 20 years dedicated to the Coast Guard  Auxiliary of Lake Norman. He leaves a legacy of generosity, kindness, and a serving spirit.

He was a blessing to all who knew him, impacting others simply by his firm handshake and warm smile.

The family will celebrate his life in a private gathering.
