Paul Jones, 75, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Glenwood Rehab and Nursing in Mooresville, N.C.

He was born on June 5, 1948, in Iredell County, N.C., to the late Robert Andrew Jones and Zetta Reid Jones. Paul was the owner and operator of K&K Backhoe for over 40 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman, N.C. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Cooper Hamilton; and brothers, Dale, Tommy, Jimmy, and Robert “Junior” Jones.

Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lynda Fields Jones; children, Kristina Jones Hamilton (Matthew) and Kenneth Paul Jones; brothers, Johnnie Jones (Debbie) and Billy Jones (Gail); sister, Annie Alexander (Roger); grandsons, Davis and Blaine Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 27, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service following at 2 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Russell Files officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
