Peggy Ann Sharpe Hollar, 90, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on November 16, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born on September 4, 1934, to the late Hugh Ernest Sharpe and Cloie Byers Sharpe.

Peggy was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her family, especially Sunday lunches together. You never did anything for her that she did not thank you for over and over. She was the most generous person. You rarely left her house without something from her kitchen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Hollar Jr; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest and Margaret Sharpe, and Johnny and Lois Sharpe; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Bill Ellenburg; sister, Joyce Rhyne, and infant sister, Kathleen Sharpe.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Terry Watts, and Robin and Mike Warren; grandchildren, Daniel Watts (Amanda), Emily Watts, Adam Warren (Holly),snd  Andrew Warren (Gracie); great grandchildren, Brynlee Watts, Heidi Esquivel, and Walker Warren; brother-in-law, Johnny Rhyne, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

A private memorial service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Billy Ellenburg, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel UMC, 168 Lookout Dam Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
