Raymond Clifford LeVan, 92, of Hiddenite, N.C., passed away October 31, 2024, at Jurney’s Assisted Living in Statesville, N.C., following an extended illness. Clifford was born in Iredell County in July 16, 1932, to the late Ralph LeVan and Stella Mae Martin LeVan.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a retired business owner and a man of many talents — auctioneer, real estate broker, beagle field trial judge, farmer and a barber.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Dorries Ramsey LeVan; eight brothers, Tom LeVan, Wayne LeVan, Troy LeVan, Craig LeVan, Wade LeVan, Ira Lee Levan, Parks “Buddy” LeVan, Halbert LeVan, and two sisters Lucille Brittain and Betty Johnson.

Survivors include one son, Raymond Levan Jr., and wife Suzanne of Valdese; two daughters, Lindsay Lippard, and husband Richard of Troutman and Ginger LeVan-Houston and husband Paul of Statesville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 848 Pisgah Church Road, Stony Point NC 28678 with full military honors. Pastor Brian Douthit will officiate. There will be no formal visitation.
