Rigoberto Garcia, 68, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Huntersville Medical Center. He was born February 29, 1956, in Honduras C.A. to the late Mariano Garcia and Aracely Ramirez Garcia.

Rigo was a lover of motorcycles, fishing and soccer. He enjoyed conversing with strangers and made friends anywhere he went. He was a flirt who loved to make everyone laugh. He always worked hard to provide for his family and always kept a positive outlook on life even when times were hard.

He was a good husband and then great friend to both his ex-wives, Norma Garcia and Ruth Euraque de Garcia. He was an extremely loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be forever deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline Garcia (Arnold Madrid), Jessica Garcia (Miguel Escobar), Emely Garcia, Ligia Garcia (Freddy Gomez), Carolina Garcia Luna (Reny Luna), and Kelsey Garcia (Isabel Franco); siblings, Wilfredo, Noe Ivan, Mario, Guadalupe, Miriam, Yolanda Garcia, and Esperanza Gutierrez; and grandchildren, Brandon, Eric, and Emily Gomez, Erik Garcia, Luis, Reny, Sophia Luna Garcia, Sydni Garcia, Serena and Skylar Madrid, Alexa, Makayla, and Nathaniel Escobar, Valeria Garcia, and Jessia Ramos.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Heritage House at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. A Celebration of Rigoberto’s Life will be at 5 p.m. with Edwin Gutierrez and Gabriel Guzman officiating.
