Robert “Bob” Dale Johnston, 75, of Hendersonville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was the son of the late John Mack Johnston Jr. and the late Mary Lucille Mayhew Johnston. He is survived by a sister Toi J. Warren (Larry), brother Tedd Alan Johnston (Karen) and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

After graduating from North Mecklenburg High School, he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Air Force before becoming a heavy machine operator and truck driver.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
