Ronald Wayne Mills, 55, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, after suffering a long battle with diabetes.

Ronnie had a booming voice but a big heart for others and would do anything for those in need if he could help them. He loved motorcycles, fast cars, his dog, Buddy, and just enjoying the simple things in life. We have no doubt he is in the presence of the Lord, where he is enjoying fellowship with his wife Sue and his twin brother, Donnie.

He is survived by his mother, Frances Hartness, who loved him dearly; a brother, Jimmy Mills; two sisters, Patricia Rakocy (Kyle) and Rhonda Lowthorp (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews.

We are grateful for Hospice of Iredell County and the great care they showed him. Memorial donations to that organization would be appreciated.

The family will gather for a private service at a later date.
