Ryan Orry Levi Karriker, 18, of Mocksville, N.C., and formerly of Mooresville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 13, 2024.

He was born July 4, 2005, in Mooresville, N.C., and was the son of Ricky and Cindy Karriker. Ryan was a 2023 graduate of Mooresville High School, a member of the wrestling team and a charter member of the Iredell County Troubleshooters 4H Shooting Club. He loved socializing with his friends, gaming, listening to an eclectic variety of music and riding bikes. He was fascinated with his knife collection and had taught himself how to forge and make his own using his great grandfather’s forge on the family farm. He loved the challenge of learning a new skill. He loved and had a way with animals, loved working on old trucks and turning a wrench on anything he could take apart and put back together.

Ryan was preceded in death by his Grandfather Richard Karriker Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father and mother, Ricky and Cindy Karriker; and his siblings, Grey and Becca Karriker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Shearer Presbyterian Church, 684 Presbyterian Road, Mooresville, NC 28115.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all Davie and Rowan County Sheriff, Fire and Rescue, North Carolina Highway Patrol and Air Unit and his friends, co-workers and other community members for their unwavering compassion and support. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
