Sandria Donnell Forney Jackson, affectionately known as “Sandy,” passed away in Statesville, N.C., on Monday, February 19, 2024, following an automobile accident. She was born in Forsyth County on January 15, 1981, and was born to Elliott Donnell Forney and Bishop Sandra W. Forney.

She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and Mitchell Community College, where she received her CNA license. She was a member of the Helps Ministries of Deliverance of Statesville, where she served as an adjutant and usher. Sandy was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was generous, kind and always kept it real. Sandy enjoyed bowling, singing, spending time with her close family and friends, and she was The “Tik Tok Queen!”

Sandy leaves to cherish her fondest memories her husband, James Curtis Jackson Jr.; one son, James Curtis Jackson III; and one daughter, Janiah McKenzie Jackson, both of Statesville, N.C.; her father, Elliott Donnell (Linda) Forney; her mother, Bishop Sandra Waddell Forney; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bishop James and First Lady Elizabeth Jackson; six sisters, Pastor Tammy Janelle Fraley, Kenitra Natasha Waddell, Elder Stephanie Williams (Joe), Elder Toni Waddell, all of Statesville, N.C., and Monnica Wiggins (Randy), and Brittany Moore, both of Charlotte; two brothers, Devin Grimes and Ellis Moore; one sister-in-law, Lynetta Nicole Smith; four godchildren, Nehemiah McGinnis, Justin Wilson, Kia’ Palmer and Devin Waddell; special sisters, Terrell Satterfield, Sherrell Satterfield, Toni McGinnis, DaVikie Scott and Benita Rowe. special brother, Neal Faulkner; a host of aunts and uncles, Valeria and Richard Graham, Dr. Virginia Lykes, Apostle Deborah Graham, Theodore Waddell, Apostle Carl D. (First Lady Sherry) Lykes, Nathaniel and Barbara Jackson, Frances Jackson, Johnny (Sherry) McLewis, Prophetess Janice Harris, Pastor Elizabeth (Randolph) Jones, Ricky L. (Essie) Jackson, Harold L. (Milber) Jackson, Toni (Ricky) Gillion, Elder Paulisa (Keith) Parrott, Deacon John (Lafreda) Jackson; Vincent (Maria) Smith, Pastor Jimmy (Terry) Smith, Keith Lawrence and Melanie “BJ” Bowman; her godchildren, Justin Wilson and Nehemiah McGinnis; and a host of nieces, nephews, special cousins, other relatives, neighbors, church family, and deair friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Christ Cathedral of Deliverance. Bishop Carl D. Lykes will officiate and burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson will remain at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home, 603 South Center Street, Statesville, until taken to the church to lie in state from 1:30 until 2 p.m. Members of the family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 p.m.
