Shareef Isaiah Beverley, 31, of 1205 Harris Street, Statesville, N.C, was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on October 15, 1992, and was the son of the late Jerome Weston and Barbara Ann Beverley. He departed this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory following a brief illness.
He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby, Pa., and at one time prior to his disability was employed as a machine operator at W. T. Barnett. He was a mechanic, and he loved his dogs and four-wheelers, but mostly he loved his family.
He leaves to cherish the memory of his life his children, Samiya Beverley, Bralle Beverley, Alana Beverley and Isaiah Beverley; one sister, Tameka (Sakea Hasan) Beverley of Upper Darby, Pa.; an uncle, Anthony Floyd of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his stepfather, Bashir Berry of Philadelphia, Pa.; his girlfriend, Brianna Scarborough of Claremont; his friend and the mother of three of his children, Breanna Porter; nieces and nephews, Ameereh Newsome, Ayah Thomas and Muneer Francis; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Members of the family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11 a.m.
