Sharon Webb Tillery, 80, of Statesville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House.
Sharon was born August 16, 1944, to the late Phillip Lewis Webb and Sarah Frances Alexander Webb. She was a graduate of Hartsville High School in Hartsville, S.C., and Montreat-Anderson College.
Sharon loved to spend time reading, quilting and sewing. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Walter Dent Tillery; daughter, Frances Tillery Stroud (Joe); sons, Phillip Lee Tillery (Ashley) and Jason Dent Tillery (Christina); grandchildren, Caroline King (Jared), Chandler Connolly, Luke Stroud, Thomas Tillery, Jackson Tillery, Walt Tillery, Meg Tillery, Nathaniel Tillery, and Grace Tillery; great-grandchildren, Rhett Connolly, Maddox Malloney, and Dutton King; sisters, Beverley Taylor (Dennis) and Debbie Johnston; brothers, Phillip Web (Linda) and Bob Webb (Donna Jo).
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, at 2 p.m., at Troutman Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the North Carolina Recreation & Park Association Scholarship Foundation in honor of the Jackson Lee Tillery Therapeutic Recreation Fund, or to the Gordon Hospice House.
