Shelby Jean Hartsell Grimm, 87, of Statesville, N.C., died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Yadkin County on November 22, 1936, to the late Roscoe Hartsell and Fannie Reavis Hartsell.

Shelby loved playing cards, Bingo, thrift shopping, cooking, baking, music, especially Elvis and Dolly, and the Seattle Seahawks. She was a “foodie” and loved going to Randy’s BBQ. She was the best Mamaw!

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Albert Grimm and Albert Grimm; a daughter, Maureen Grimm; grandchildren, Crystal Kenny (Bryan), Tabitha Garcia, Jennifer Adams, Darian Sanner (George), Jacci Daniel (Craig), Jason Grimm (Jennifer), Brandon Grimm, Brandie Grimm, and Blake Grimm; 18 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members.

Celebration of Life Services will be held May 4, 2024, at Calvary Presbyterian Church. A time will be determined. Pastor Timothy Bates will be officiation the service.
