Shirley Moore, 86, passed away at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C., on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Shirley was born in Iredell County on June 1, 1937, to the late Henry Moose and Hattie Mae Money Moose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Webb Henry and Paul Moose; and her sisters, Claire Mae Shoemaker, Eunice Medlin, and Marie Underwood.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Cindy Windsor (Michael Windsor) and Ann Simpson (Kenneth Simpson); her granddaughters, LeAnn Smith and Sara Carter (Tyler Carter); her great-grandson, Finley Carter; her brother, Harvey Moose; and nephews, Michael Medlin, Jerry and Wade Shoemaker, and Todd Moose. Shirley also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Josey, Gibbs, and Lucy.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Olin, N.C.
