Mr. Stanley Curtis Summers, 58, of 1021 Foxtcroft Lane, Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County on September 4, 1965, and was the son of the late Andrew Curtis Summers and Mary Elizabeth Baker Summers. Poppy, as he was affectionately called, departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2024, following an extended illness.

He was a graduate of Statesville High School and loved sports. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. Prior to his disability, he was employed by the Statesville Flour Mill.

He leaves to remember and celebrate his life his sons, Antonio Glover of Hickory and Justin E. Alexander of Cleveland; his siblings, Danny Leonard Summers and Jody Maurice Summers, both of the home, and Crystal Elaine Summers Brown of Statesville; his god sister, Porche Bellamy of Statesville; his grandchildren, including Jaden Lee Rucker; and a host of cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends.

General Public Viewing and Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday morning, August 24, 2024, from 10:30 until 11 a.m.
