So sad to read about Tommy’s passing. What precious memories I have of this wonderful man. All of the neighborhood kids from Westminster and Bristol Drive used to hang out at Tommy’s Sunoco. He would let us work on our bicycles in his shop and as we grew older, he was alway generous to help us work on our cars and let us wash them at his service station. He employed a lot of us as well to work for him during our younger years. He was instrumental in getting us young boys to come to his church at Bristol Drive Baptist and because of Tommy’s invitation, that’s where I first accepted Jesus as my Savior during a revival that he encouraged us to attend and was baptized there. Tommy always provided good advice to us boys and he tried to keep us all in line. I will always cherish my memories of this great man. He had such a wonderful family and I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to each of you. Thank you, Tommy Chapman, for being a childhood hero to so many of us. May God bring comfort to his family and friends. Rick Brewer
