Tyler Michael Allen, a beloved soul who graced this Earth with his gentle spirit, is remembered with joy and celebration. Born on February 17, 2003, in Wellesley, Mass., Tyler completed his journey on July 31, 2024, at the age of 21 at Carolina Caring in Sherrills Ford, N.C., after bravely facing the challenges of muscular dystrophy.

A graduate of Langtree Charter Academy, Tyler’s academic achievements were marked by his membership in the National Beta Club and high honors. His passions were as diverse as they were sincere. An avid reader and Xbox enthusiast, he found solace in sharing his love for music, especially his cherished vinyl records, with his father. Tyler’s intellectual curiosity led him to engage in spirited discussions on politics, and he took joy in debating with friends and family.

His kindness knew no bounds, and his unwavering positivity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Whether watching his favorite TV shows or cheering on his beloved NASCAR driver, Joey Logano, Tyler’s infectious smile brightened every room he entered.

In addition to his loving parents, Peter Gregory Allen and Brenda Lee Allen, Tyler leaves behind his devoted sister, Dani Allen; uncle, Gary Allen (Penny); great uncle, Al Blanchard (Diana); and “second mom”, Julia, who held a special place in his heart. His memory will be cherished by his extended family and many friends who treasured his companionship.

Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Evans, John Chapman, David and Dorothy Allen; and his aunt, Candice Chapman.

A celebration of Tyler’s life will gather friends and family on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville. In place of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made to the Friends Foundation, P.O. Box 335, Linwood, NC 27299, or online at friends-foundation.org.

Tyler’s legacy of courage and compassion will endure in the hearts of all who knew him.

The Allen family is being compassionately served by Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Additional condolences can be shared at www.cavin-cook.com as we honor Tyler’s memory with love and gratitude.
