William Frederick “Fred” Laderer passed away peacefully at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, N.C. He left this beautiful world he called home for 89 years on September 11, 2024.

Fred was reunited with his loving wife JoAnn Caryl Laderer on her heavenly 91st birthday, continuing a love story where their love will continue for eternity. JoAnn passed away on July 1, 2022, the morning of their 67th Wedding Anniversary.

Fred was born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 14, 1935, to AnnaBelle and Frank Laderer. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father; sister, Libby; and brother, John.

Fred and JoAnn both were graduates of West High in Columbus, Ohio, and active with their alums until their deaths

In 1972 Fred and JoAnn moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, which was there home until moving south to Mooresville, N.C., in 2007 to be with their children and grandchildren.

Fred’s ministry was to embrace and care for others, always serving and giving, never asking, and his humor — the joy of making people laugh.

During his professional career as a Food Broker, he cared deeply for his colleagues as family, always showering them with his kindness and giving support just as he did with everyone he came into contact with throughout his life.

Fred never met a stranger, making friends with all age groups.

Fred loved his retirement career at the Pointe Country Club in Mooresville, where he was surrounded by his favorite sport, beautiful green fairways and the Carolina blue sky. Fred retired at the age of 86 from The Pointe.

Fred and JoAnn have two children – Kim Hoberg (Larry) of Mooresville and Frederick Laderer (Janette 2005 / Mark) of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Ryan Hoberg, Lauren Beane (Kelly), Christen Hoberg Chelsea Laderer (Michael) and Zoey Dugger (Matthew); and three great grandchildren.

Fred and JoAnn were members of Williamson’s Chapel United Methodist Church and loved calling Mooresville home.

As their children and grandchildren – Mom and Dad’s love, guidance and the beautiful memories will forever live in our hearts and fill our souls.

We Love You Both Now and Forever.
