Amanda “Mandy” Mack Amon, 54, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville.
She was born on October 10, 1970, in Mooresville to the late Charles Lewis Mack and Dorothy Robinson Mack.
Mrs. Amon was a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She worked in Human Resources at the Marriott for many years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cinnie Powell.
She is survived by her husband, John J. Amon; children, Cassidy Amon, Victoria Amon, Cooper Amon, and Alexandra Amon; brothers, Rick Mack (Nancy), Scot Mack (Carolyn), Chris Mack (Brenda), and Kevin Mack (Michelle); brother-in-law, Rod Powell; sister-in-law, Ginger White (Tony); nieces and nephews; Lydia Mack Hedrick (Cory), Jillian Mack Moore (Rashad), Forrest Mack, Spencer Mack (Megan), Caroline Mack Maclaga (Josh), William Mack (Lauren), Hannah Mack, Clair Powell (Greg Luckeroth), Abby Powell, Natalie White, and Vivian White; godsons, Joshua Seguin and Nicholas Seguin; mother and father-in-law, Bob and Millie Amon; and her special friends, “The Marriott Girls,” Katia Seguin and Kelly Sopp.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House and to Dr. Mitchell and staff at Southern Oncology.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at St. Therese Catholic Church. A reception will follow at 1 p.m. at the Franklin Place, 147 E. Center Ave., Mooresville, NC 28115.
