Amber Rose Tisdale, 33, peacefully passed away on February 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Reno, Nev., on January 9, 1992, Amber was an exceptional daughter, sister, and beloved family member, and she was adored by all who knew her. Throughout her life’s adventures, she lived in Reno, Seattle, Las Vegas, Houston, and Mooresville, creating meaningful friendships and memories along the way.

Amber graduated from Lake Norman High School and attended classes at Mitchell Community College. She was passionately involved in Special Olympics, participating in golf, swimming, bocce ball, and regularly attended dance events and year-end celebrations.

An avid boater, Amber cherished her time spent on the pontoon boat, cruising Lake Norman with her cherished dogs Buddy, Lilly, Roxy, and Toby. She loved spending summers in the Appalachians with her sister Brooke and family, hiking, fishing, and swimming in the rivers and creeks. She also enjoyed visiting her Grandpa Dan, “Papa,” at the local nursing home, where she made many friends, worked on puzzles, and played board games.

Amber is survived by her kind-hearted and devoted mother Tracy Corcoran, her father Bruce Corcoran, and her loving sisters, Brooke Tisdale, Cali Corcoran, and Ruby Corcoran of Mooresville. Her loving grandparents, Mick and Mickey Metzer of Coleraine, Minn., and Dan and Renee Corcoran of Mooresville, along with many extended family members, including the Skaares (Aunt Regan and her husband Eric, cousins Mya, Macy, and Reed), the Burgs (Aunt Mary and her husband Chris, cousins Colton, Caleb, and Brayden), the Lavernicks (Aunt Samantha and her husband Jay), and her beloved Uncle Blade, will forever cherish her memory.

Amber’s ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 22, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home in Mooresville. A short prayer service will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life that will continue into the early evening. Friends and family are encouraged to wear bright colors and prepare to dance to her favorite songs playlist.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics Lake Norman in memory of Amber Rose Tisdale. (Donate here-https://sonc.net/local-programs2/lake-norman/)
