Ms. Angela Faye Gillion, 64, of 908 Ericson Street, Statesville, N.C., passed away at Atrium Hospital in Shelby, N.C., on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born in Iredell County on August 8, 1960, and was the daughter of the late George Gillion and Addie Lee Maddox James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Madaron Yowland Gillion Gaither and Jerry Lee Gillion.

She attended the Iredell County Schools, and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friends. She will be missed and she was loved.

She leaves to celebrate and remember her life her children, Ashley J. Gillion of the home, Jeffery Woods of Statesville and Michael Woods of Hickory; two brothers, Ricky Lee (Toni) Gillion and Chris (Cherie) Gillion, both of Statesville; an uncle, Willie Maddox Jr. of Statesville; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home. Evangelist Kathy Murray will officiate. Members of the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1 p.m., but will assemble at the residence of her son, Ashley Gillion, 908 Ericson Street, at other times.
