Barbara Marie Kimble Roberson, 79, of Troutman, N.C., passed away Friday, February 14, 2025, at Autumn Care in Cornelius, N.C.

She was born on August 26, 1945, in Smoke Hole, W.Va., to the late Virgil Jacob Kimble and Nellie Grace Wilfong Kimble. Barbara worked for Howland Local School System in Warren, Ohio, for over 20 years before her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and made many Afghans. She was an avid West Virginia University and Ohio State University football and basketball fan. Barbara enjoyed playing cards, and rummy was her favorite game.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Henry Roberson, and brother, Virgil Wayne Kimble.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Sonya Doutt (Ron); sisters, Betty Jo VanMeter, Polly Vance, and Nancy Cosco (David); brother, Bruce Kimble; grandchildren, Megan Boudreaux (Shawn) and Ryan Doutt; and great-grandchild, Denver and several nieces and nephews.
