Beatrice Overcash Baxter, 100, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 26, 1924, in Mooresville, N.C., to the late Gothard Albertis Overcash Sr. and Leona Pierce Overcash. Mrs. Baxter was retired from General Time 0637 and attended First Wesleyan Church in Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Baxter; brothers, Roy Overcash, James Overcash, Paul David Overcash, and Gothard A. Overcash Jr.; and sisters, Alma Overcash, Lucille Hendren, Pauline Overcash, and Romona Powers.

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Lowrance and Patricia “Pat” Bailey; grandchildren, Terry Bailey, Debbie Mullis (Edwin) and Dennis Wright; and great grandchildren, Matthew Wright and Caitlin Overman (Josh); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. with a service following at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Haithcock officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
