Carol Boyer, a resident of Troutman, N.C., entered into Eternal Rest on February 11, 2025, at age 85. She passed away at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., after a lengthy struggle with a thoracic aneurism and heart troubles.

She was married to the love of her life, Don Boyer, and they shared 13 years happily married. Don had numerous health issues, and Carol lovingly cared for him up to his last breath. His death left her heartbroken.

Many trips to Canada fishing, Florida with the boat, and to South Dakota and Montana to visit her three granddaughters while they were growing up were among the things that brought her joy in this life. She had a fondness for hummingbirds, gardening and playing cards. Her sense of humor would catch you off guard, and that was one of the many wonderful things that she passed on to her children.

Carol was much beloved by her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She had a lifelong friend, Betty Carter, who she met with monthly to laugh, reminisce and play cards. When they got together, they would take turns creating a lunch that added a special touch to their gathering. Carol also had a special place in her heart for dogs and raised five dogs from pups to their death during her life. She left a mark on many lives and will be sadly missed.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Clark and Mary Louise Clark; husband, Don Boyer; sister, Nancy Eyth; brother, Robert Clark and son, Chester (Diane); and Macy.

She is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Joe) Belback and son Mark (Karan) Macy; three granddaughters, Kenna, Morgan and Madison; and one great grandson, Benaiah. Betty Carter, her dear friend since second grade, survives Carol as well.
